Re: Proper filtering for private call and RX/TX freq shift questions
Just transmit on an arbitary talkgroup e.g. 1001, or 1002, or 1003, and set your receiving radio to that TG and enable DMR filter to TG If you use Ct filering it won't work, becuase you are always transmitting from the same radio, hence it has the same "contact" ID The other radio won't bee to indic...

Re: Larger memory
Updated CPS with untested support for this 16Mb variant has been put into the last beta folder
https://www.opengd77.com/downloads/PublicBeta_20211121/
Support for that chip will also be included into the future beta releases
I think you owe Daniel a beer or two

Re: Larger memory
Well, the CPS is actually able to restore the backup okay, but some of the other functions don't work. the firmware checks to see if the chip is known device, and won't work if its not on a supported list. normally this is not an issue, because people have never fitted a non-Winbond chip into their...

Re: Larger memory
I guess we could try adding your code as a valid chip, but it still may not work.
Both the firmware and cps would need to be changed
But if that chip does not respond to the Winbond command codes, then it will not be supportable

Re: Larger memory
Actually it is a Winbond device. It's a 25Q128FVSG chip. Electically its not reporting its a winbond chip. see the official winbond data sheet, linked from Digikey ( https://www.winbond.com/resource-files/w25q128fv%20rev.m%2005132016%20kms.pdf ) page 24 , section 8.1.1 the original chip code of is ...

Re: Larger memory
The original flash chip shows SPI ID:EF4014 The new flash chip shows SPI ID:EF7018 Does that sound like the ID code you are referring to? That device ID 7018 is not currently supported. What manufacturer is that chip made by. The code does not seem to be a Winbond device. Even if we changed the fir...
