You are correct, the CPS will now import from either type of CSV format. The export type will be set by your regional settings.

If you load the wrong version of the firmware the menus and the CPS communication will still work OK but the radio will not transmit or receive. You can safely try several versions if you are not sure which version radio you have.

You only need to do the flash backup once.

VOX working OK here when checked. You may need to adjust the Vox Threshold and Vox Tail settings settings in Menu/Options/Sound Options.

Make sure you are in range of the repeater and the colour code and frequencies are correct. DMR radios won't transmit on Duplex if they can't hear the repeater.
