Re: DMR full duplex operation i.e. tx and rx at the same time.
What do you mean by Cross Band Repeat? Is the radio acting as the the repeater, transmitting and receiving at the same time ? Yes, the radio can do this in any mode combination, but one band must be set to VHF and the other to UHF. It operates symetrically, i.e. when somebody transmits on the VHF s...

Re: DMR full duplex operation i.e. tx and rx at the same time.
I have the D578UV III but I haven't really used it yet. I didn't even know it can do SFR, I know it can do cross band repeat, in D/A, A/D, D/D, A/A modes. So how do you set up the user radios (and what radios)? Most radios cannot be program to TX on 1 slot and RX on the other slot. And many radios ...

Re: DMR full duplex operation i.e. tx and rx at the same time.
As far as we can tell it appears that only the top end radios support this. The Tx/Rx switching time is critical. It really needs a totally separate receiver and transmitter so that both can be configured and ready to operate almost instantly. The Rx AGC also has to be able to handle massively diff...

Re: Channel name changes in the radio
So, one question:
What's the name of the TG you have assigned to this channel ?
With regards,
Pavel OK1PT

Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio
Does anyone know what hardware the GD-88 is based on? What CPU(s) / DMR / VFO / etc. and if it single or dual rx / tx hardware? AA3RP Hi! I don't know anything about internal details, it's not stated anywhere, but I've got the radio this week, and I can confirm, that it's really dual RX. About the ...

Re: Using dev environment to expand CTCSS/DCS tone list.
Hi! Let me explain it a bit. In the WIki page for the DCS, they are stating, that from a total capacity of 512 DCS codes only 83 is available "to avoid falsing due to alignment collisions". What does it mean ? I'll try to explain it by a very very simplified example: Let's have a DCS system sending ...

Re: CPS Localization into Italian
No rush. I do not have any spare time at the moment to work on the CPS or firmware Re: Portable version The XML files are always in the Languages folder which is in the same location as the CPS exe Thank you Roger. I agree, no hurry. What I wrote about the " four eyes that see better than two " ref...

Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio
I got an email about the GD-88. It looks like a mix of the Anytone 878 and the BTECH 6X2 (some exclusive BTECH features are available on the GD-88 and not on the 878). Probably a complete different chipset, but that would be cool to have the OPENGD77 firmware running there :-) Hi! I looked at it an...

Re: gd77 autogenerates signal at 430.075 Mhz
Hi! These "autogenerated signals" :-) are obviously known as "birdies" and they are very common on radios with digital circuits inside - like CPU/MCU, various frequency synthesizers, displays, GPS receivers etc. You can find them on every modern radio with wide reception bands including such valued ...

Re: New GD77 and MD9600 Beta firmware June 19th 2022
Hi, We've talked about it before, and many people have indicated this topic! I understand the position. But in many cases it is confusing. Especially when there is a lot of silence around you. So at night. But also during the day. Or it bothers the family member. Not to mention with earphones If it...
