Re: VFO change digital to analog from keypad?
Reverse engineering the official CPS to a point it will compile again took ages for me, because when I tore their's apart, it didnt go back together without reporting thousands of errors. I've decompiled the latest version 3.1.9 of the software. The structure of the program seems to be reconstructe...

Re: Acces to files I had to remove from Github
Sorry guy, I've been advised to remove the copies of the official firmware from my downloads.
The latest firmware is available on Radioddity's site, if anyone wants to go back to the official firmware.

Re: Hi Everybody..thanks for having me
Hi At the moment the project is in a massive state of flux because of problems with the software license and other similar problems, so as a precaution the developers decided to remove the firmware files. However it is still possible to obtain the firmware and the CPS I moved the CPS from GitHub to ...

Acces to files I had to remove from Github
As I was potentially in beach of Github terms and conditions in all of the GD-77 related repositories, I have taken the precaution of removing all GD-77 related files from Github. This includes all the old versions of the Radioddity firmware, and quite a lot of other files. I can probably email peop...

Re: Recent versions of firmware will be removed
Is there any possibility to stop KC7RBW? IMNAL, but KC7RBW is within his legal rights to do what he did. The fundamental problem is that the basis of his legal rights is that the source code is released under the GPL license. But the project always stipulated some essential additional clauses on to...

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
I have similar frequency calibration problems with my RD-5R, but I presumed it was just bad calibration of my radio. I don’t have an accurate freq counter. I think it’s resolution is only 1kHz , but I will try to compare the Tx freq on FM with the official firmware. I buy this module from marine eq...

Re: VFO change digital to analog from keypad?
Do you have a link to that official CPS software? I've no idea what version of official cps reverse engineered, as it was about 2 years ago that I did the reverse enginnering The latest cps is available on Radioddity's site, and is likely to be virtually idential to the version I used. I think they...

Re: Recent versions of firmware will be removed
What I guess is needed is some arrangement, where people can access the firmware source code, if they agree they will not use it commercially or against the wishes of ham community However this is not easy to achiveve, as it requrires a license change, but there is external code and also user submis...

Re: Recent versions of firmware will be removed
The power of true open source is that an open source project never dies. The development may freeze for a moment, but as long as there is the source code, anybody has the possibility to continue. OpenGD77 is an excellent piece of software. Sooner or later it will catch developer interest. Nothing p...
