Once the amplifier chip was removed and the PCB short fixed it did work, you just couldn't hear anything. So yes, I assume it would have worked as a hotspot.

OK. It would still be cheaper than buying a mmdmv hotspot board, albeit would only work for DMR audio

Try restoring the flash first

If it still does not work then restore the EEPROM

I don't think I have any photos, but the pads you need to connect to are clearly labeled and are on the virtually empty side of the PCB which you see as soon as you open the radio

I'll need to investigate why its not working.

One change since January is that Dual Watch now operates in Eco mode.

You could try disabling Eco mode and see if the bug still exists.
