Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created
I've updated the Development version. The Changes are * Possible fix for DTMF and 1750Hz deviation (under deviation) problem (still needs to be verified by DG3GSP) * Fix for TS override in Contacts not being honoured when Contact is selected by ### on the Channel or VFO screen, or from the Contacts...

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
I tried a lot of things to get the RD-5R hotspot mode working, ultimately I put a 10 foot extension cable between the antenna and the radio, used a tiny rubber duck antenna, and used a vertical drop on the USB programming cable. I also set the RD-5R to 50mW. No matter what I tried. Pi-Star would ha...

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
I tried everything, I used ferrite on the USB cable, I wrapped the cable and the pi-Zero with aluminum paper, and I connected the radio to the external antenna in the attic using a LMR-400 cable. I could not prevent the RF interference that prevents pistar to update the dashboard and to reset the T...

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
Odd behaviour in hotspot mode. The PISTAR panel does not getting updated with the Rd-5R. It displays a few call sign OK, but then it freezes the call sign and the Tx timer increases itself forever, with no switch of speakers/call sign when the QSO change from one party to another. After some time t...

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
I had issues again trying to load the JUNE 27th version into my RD-5R. CPS reads Build Date 06/17/2020. I placed the RD-5R into firmware mode, then invoked the firmware update from within the CPS, selected RD-5R and clicked to update it from the internet. Nothing happened, no progress bar, nothing. ...

My call sign in CW is played when I power the GD77 on:

Re: Experimental Baofeng RD-5R version
I could not upload the firmware at first using the OPENGD77 CPS, but it worked fine when I used the FIRMWAREUPLOADER.exe standalone exec. OK. Looks like the CPS needs to be updated. You were right, I updated the CPS and everything is working now. One unrelated question: Is there any recommended pow...
