Re: time setting for satellite data

The radio hardware does not have a real time clock, or GPS. Workaround for real time clock is as previously describe by F1RMB https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_UserGuide/blob/master/OpenGD77_User_Guide.md#suspend BTW, what do you think of hardware mods? I understand these mods won't be done by e...

Re: time setting for satellite data

CANNOTbe changed to east or west and is quite difficult even in the n/s settings.! https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_UserGuide/blob/master/OpenGD77_User_Guide.md#location-screen The radio hardware does not have a real time clock, or GPS. Re: Dumb noob idea: Officially working with Radiodity?

Radioddity / TYT / Baofeng are well aware of the firmware. FYI. Radioddity are just a vertical marketing company, they buy and rebrand radios from other manufacturers e.g. TYT TYT make the MD-760 radio hardware. Radioddiy sell it outside China as the GD77. Retevis are also a rebranding company, who ...

Re: DMR inband position transmit

Well, it's not a stand-alone data transmission - it's one of the voice-associated inband data services, just like a Talker Alias. It's defined in ETSI TS 102 361-2 V2.4.1 part 5.4 (with more detailed PDU description in part 7), where TA description literally goes after the description of inband pos...

This has nothing to do with RFI. Once the RD-5R transmits, the USB communication is unavailable, hence MMDVMHost fails.
About the source code, it's available.

Re: DMR inband position transmit

For as long as I remember, OpenGD77 firmware was capable of receiving inband position info (and displaying a grid locator), as well as receiving and sending Talker Alias. And since the recent betas we also have (a some sort of) our own position info for satellite mode. Has it been considered to ena...

Re: FM APRS function

OK. I looked up the underlying data transfer modulation and protocol for APRS, and its 1200 baud FSK The hardware does not specifically pport this transmission or reception modulation protocol. The RF chip can transmit FM DTMF tones, but I have no idea whether it could transmit a different tone ever...

Re: Eco Levels

If the radio is already receiving and the signal drops out, it won't be the Eco level, as this is only used when there is no signal. The radio won't enter power saving when there is a signal Do you have another DMR radio which you can run ar rhe same time to compare whether your hotspot is actually ...
