Re: Modification of the Radioditty charger with "TP5100" card at $ 2.
I have just installed the tp5100 but in output it gives me 8.3 volt Is it normal? Or should I give 8.4? If I use the original charger of only 500ma, will the battery charge well? Obviously it will slow it down. My intention is to have an original 500ma charger for the night and 12v 2a for the day a...

Re: Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX
I have a cheapie magmount antenna I use on my hotspot to get the RF away from my desk, use it for both my mmdvm board and the GD77. Haven't had any issues like this, so I guess it's far enough away. I have also run the GD77 on my primary antenna at the house, and on 2W I get solid coverage on the ba...

Re: Modification of the Radioditty charger with "TP5100" card at $ 2.
you can take advantage of the components of the old board ??? the TP5100 only without filters etc emits noise in the radio if it is connected while charging? Thank you The modification that's on http://members.optuszoo.com.au/jason.reilly1/GD77mods.htm and in this thread in a few variations replace...

Re: [Solved] GD-77 CPS reports device not found
Ah man we've all done that.. Look down, see the two pronged cable plugged in, try to use it.k9jpt@tengstrom.us wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 12:24 pmSure it is! Agreed! But if the solution was as simple as replacing the Baofeng with the Radioddity cable you just may not want the whole world to know about your stupid mistake

Always good etiquette to tell what you did to solve the issue in case someone later finds themselves in the same situation. Even if it was user error, it might help someone out.

Re: [Fixed] RX CTCSS does not work...
I see the problem, the radio on the left cuts and and out, while the radio on the right does not. This ONLY happens when CTCSS is involved? And does it happen with out being so hot into the mic? Are you sure it's a problem with the radio on the left and not some overmodulation of the radio on the ri...

Re: Pi-Star recovery when GD77 is restarted?
By the way, I've tried this twice and both times worked but your mileage may vary! Run Update in Pi-Star, watch the GD77. As soon as it drops out of Hotspot mode (pretty far into the update process) turn it off. Then unplug etc. Then when you're putting it back on hotspot duty, plug in, turn on, and...

[Not currently possible] OpenGD77 support sending SMS in Hotspot mode?
I know it doesn't support it as a normal radio, but does it support it in hotspot mode? Was just messing around today trying to send some SMS with the GD77 as hotspot and my MD380 as the radio and everything always fails.

Re: Restart procedure
Odd, when I converted from stock GD77 firmware to OpenGD77 everythiing just worked. You sure you're using the OpenGD77 CPS? You'll want to clean up your codeplug significantly anyway, as you probably had a lot of duplicate channels with different talk groups (which is typical) and that's no longer n...
