Re: Hotspot with Pi-Star - VHF frequency range II

US 70cm allocation is 420 to 450, and most of our repeaters here are in the 440-450 range. (Of course, under 450, 449.995 or whatever stays under 450MHz). However we also follow guidelines here to keep hotspots within reasonable ranges here. Most areas have a guiding group that coordinates repeater ...

I could have sworn I asked this and it was simply that OpenGD77 does not yet support SMS?
No SMS either.

Cheers.

Right, but I thought GPS data was sent over the DMR network in the form of an SMS, so until SMS is implemented there's no way for GPS data to move around.

Re: CPS Update

Thank you! So I installed yesterday, and I still use a Windows 7 VM on my Linux machine, just so I don't have to deal with the mess that is Windows 10. Anyway, I don't know if this is the place to mention it, but my VM only had .NET runtime 4.4 installed, which caused the CPS to immediately crash w...

Re: Hotspot mode will be removed from the RD-5R firmware

I don't understand this decision. While the RD-5R might be far from being the best hotspot in the market, the HS mode is a nice feature to have. If it had to be written from scratch I could understand it, but the feature has already been implemented. Wouldn't it be better to include a big warning m...

Re: Travis has started to hack a Kenwood DStar radio

DStar is semi common in some places, but much less so than DStar or Fusion. I wonder if he's going to make it work with DMR?

Distorted audio when both timeslots are in use?

Today I've noticed that when there are two continuous conversations going on the same repeater, one on TS1, one on TS2, occasionally the GD77 will start making a pretty terrible fluttering sound. If I flip to another repeater and right back, it's fine again. At first I though it was because I did no...

The most recent OpenGD77 CPS update (2020.07.13) does exactly that.
They are still all in the menus unless I'm missing something?

Ah, I had just updated here yesterday, there's been another update. Thank you all!
