There's a local net on an analog repeater that I listen to that's also bridged to TGIF and when I listen to it via DMR there's no static. This is because the AMBE codec is a voice codec - it encodes sounds that sound like voices and ignores sounds that don't. So that made me wonder if it's possible ...

Further testing makes it seem that it was a problem with the codeplug, maybe after using the CSV tool (from before that was integrated into the CPS). Not certain, but in any case not a bug in the firmware.

This was a pleasant surprise for me as well. Took a while to write it to the radio, but it's so much nicer than filtering. Love it!

Reverse Repeater is kind of a misnomer because on most radios only the receive frequency is changed, even though it's called "reverse".

TalkAround is similar to repeater reverse, but instead of swapping your receive frequency to listen to the repeater's input, you're swapping your transmit frequency to reach others tuned to the repeater, talking around, instead of through. Used even the repeater is down or out of range.

Mine clips almost a full character on the left, about half of one on the right, and just a few pixels on the top. None of the bottom is clipped on mine.
