You do not say where you live, but your id is close to "hamburg" and you cite "freenet", so I will suppose that you live in Germany. Indeed what you are doing is not entirely legal. I live in Munich, Germany and use the local DMR repeaters. I first started with the GD-73, but got a GD-77 when I learned it had an open firmware. I still need to install the open firmware, but this should not take too long.
