Re: Looking for a RD5R
Does OpenGD77 automatically download digital id contacts to my DM-5R? I did not manually do it, but I notice many QSOs show the actual callsign on my screen. Although some have the last letter missing. You need to connect the radio with the USB cable to the CPS to update the callsign database. But ...

Re: Baofeng DM-1701: diagram of the 2 speaker-mic pin
DM-1701 should work with a "Kenwood" K type speaker microphone. But I haven't verified it on my DM-1701. I'm afraid the "k" connector is that of my bought "Shoulder Speaker Mic", same diagram of pin connections! Even if the Radioddity microphone is compatible with: BaoFeng UV-5X, UV-5RX3, UV-5R EX,...

Re: Baofeng DM-1701: diagram of the 2 speaker-mic pin
Hi All, I bought a DM-1701 from less a month with an external "Shoulder Speaker Mic". Still before I modified this radio to opengd77 firmware, neither PTT and loudspeaker were working. On the specification of the "Shoulder Speaker Mic" is written: Compatible Model: Baofeng GT-3 / BF-888S / UV-5R Pl...

Re: Some hotspot woes... Bad intelligibility
I met the similar problem using 1701 as hotspot working on UHF and another 1701 as the receiver, whatever the receiver worked with factory firmware or with OpenGD77. But, at the same time, voice out of my AT-878UVII Plus was fine enough. When I switched the frequency of hotspot to VHF, everything w...

Re: CPS R2024.03.09.01 Radio Shut Down?
Strange, can you power off a 390 via the green button?
I have always used the volume/on-off switch and press sk1 + PTT when powering on radio in DFU mode.

Re: CPS R2024.03.09.01 Radio Shut Down?
I just downloaded the new CPS, R2024.03.09.01 to my TYT MD-UV390. It seems to work fine, but a major change is that it turns off my radio after I write to it (reading does not shut off the radio). The previous version left the radio on after a write. I don't see any mention of this in the PDF that ...
