Re: RT3S firmware won't run
As Roger said, if your radio returns REV: 0x9 then it will not at the moment work with OpenGD77. None of the developers has one of these radios, so it is almost impossible to develop a fix. Just for completeness My RT3S returns REV: 0x100F which is different to Rogers but still works OK. My MD390 re...

Re: IMPORTANT. New Non-GPS MD-UV380 or RT3S are not compatible
We don't know what the cut-off for serial numbers is but it would appear that anything
starting 2211 and after may have the problem.

Re: DM-1801 transistor part number ?
The GD77 uses AFT05MS004NT1 FETs in both the VHF and the UHF PA stages. Only the tuning components are different. The same device would almost certainly work in the DM1801.
They are easily available from Farnell/Newark or Mouser.

Re: Possibly not compatible with new Non-GPS MD-UV380 or RT3S
Please can you post the first part of the serial number of the radio that would not work.
The firmware certainly works on my RT3S Non-GPS radio with a serial number starting 2201.

Re: RT3S firmware won't run
In your original posting you said that the serial numbers started with 2105 which would indicate a manufacture date of 2021. You also mention a sticker with the later date 0f 2022 12. Where is that?. I am wondering if the radios are actually old stock which has been re-worked or updated in some way....

Re: RT3S firmware won't run
One thing worth double checking. It is easy to overlook, I have done it many times myself. Are you sure you are selecting MDUV380/RT3S in the downloader? It defaults to MD9600 and if left set to this it will appear to load OK but the radio will lock up in the way you describe. This is because the fi...

Re: TYT MD380G
The MD380 is a single band radio that uses an older DMR chip than the supported radios.
The current firmware will not work with this chip.
As far as I can tell the MD380G is the same as the original MD380 with the addition of a GPS module so it is unlikely to work.

Re: Instalação não liga rafio
The procedure is known to work. So you must have done something different.
Make sure that you have selected MDUV380 in the firmware downloader. If you accidental!y selected MD9600 it won't work.
Also make sure you are using the correct firmware for the radio.

Re: MD-9600 / RT-90 Installation
With the V2.1 PCB you should be using either the MD9600_firmware_V1HW or the MD9600_firmware_V2HW firmware. The only difference is the backlight dimming.

Re: CAL DATA ERROR and No com port Close and reopen... error messages
On a few radios the calibration table is not in its normal location. We are not sure why, but it may be caused by certain manufacturers firmware updates. It has been known to cause problems even with the standard firmware. Please email me at g4eml@gb3gf.co.uk I can then send you a version of the Ope...
