Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

I tried to replicate this, but couldn't However, Daniel has sent me a fix. So assuming the fix doesn't have any side effects... That version from Daniel will be the next release. Yeah, the timing has to be just right, but I am able to replicate the issue fairly easily. The first handful of times I ...

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

I noticed a minor issue when scanning channels in a zone using the latest development version. This does not appear to be an issue when frequency scanning in VFO mode. When long pressing the up arrow key to start scanning, if you release it just about the exact time or very slightly before you hear ...

Re: Battery calibration

Yeah, I am aware of the voltage display option, I guess I just prefer the percentage because everything else I own with a battery works that way. My tp5100 seems to top out around 8.28 volts and drops to around 8.23 volts shortly after the charging stops while still on the charger and with no radio ...

Re: CTCSS / DCS scanning

Perhaps it would be better if CTCSS and DCS scanning would pause when there is no signal and then resume when the signal returns. I believe some other radios operate this way. Yes, this would be an possibility. But on noisy signals it can take several passes to detect the tone, and we already have ...

Re: Battery calibration

Yes, the official charger isn't great and charges rather slowly. That is why I replaced the board with a TP5100 charge module. It charges much faster, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to charge all the way to 8.4 volts, and I have tried more than one of them. I don't mind sacrificing a little capac...

Re: Battery calibration

What it usually seems to do is charge to about 8.2 volts, and then when the charging stops, the voltage will drop down to around 8.1 volts fairly quickly.
The voltage displayed on the radio is about 0.1 volts lower than the actual battery voltage as measured with a DVM.

Battery calibration

How about a battery voltage calibration setting?
That way my radio might actually show 100% when it stops charging instead of 94%.
It seems to be about 0.1 volt low compared to the actual battery voltage.

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

Okay, that's what I thought. I haven't seen any posts about this feature for a few days and was just curious what the status is.

Thank you for the information and your continued work on this firmware.
