Re: New CPS 2024 04 12

The CPS on my Windows 10 machine didn't exit properly. After installing it and updating the firmware of my GD77 and MD-UV380 (and database) I exited the CPS and loaded my NixOS VM and I started to hear my CPU fan start to run occasionally. Checked the Windows task manager after BTOP in the VM and th...

Re: New CPS 2023 09 17

I had some issues with the new CPS, which might have been due to VMWare which was running a Manjaro Linux desktop. It bricked my GD-77 with an error, and would error out when trying to update my database on the TYT MD-UV380. I closed down VMWare and rebooted. The firmware on the GD-77 loaded fine af...

Re: DMR Rx Dropout

I've been using the 96 MHz version, and none of those cyclical drop outs. But over a couple days I've heard stations go to that underwater sound like we had in the early days of the GD-77 firmware, but only a couple times.

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

I haven't noticed any issues with the 144 or 120MHz versions. Loaded the 96MHz version to test this morning.

Update: I haven't had any break ups with the 96MHz version firmware.

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

2. After flashing again, the volume stopped being adjusted again and the station DID NOT TURN OFF after turning the volume control. This was reset after the battery was turned off. I can confirm the losing volume control, and turning off to reset didn't work. Had to remove the battery and wait a se...

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

Didn't take long this morning, confirmed the breakup with eco 0, the GD-77 never lost the signal, only the MD-UV380. I confirmed this on BM, TGIF, and YSF with DMR2YSF. The interesting bit, is it will be just one station, and they might be fine on the next transmission.

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

How often does the breakup occur, how long is the breakup, did you try setting eco mode 0, what brightness setting are you using? Brightness 20%, 10 s screen shut off. It's not happening that often, but when it does it's like one station usually and will drop out a few times depending on how long t...

[Fixed] DMR Rx dropout

Everyone once in a while I get a received station that drops out cyclicly, on a consistent time pattern. The station drops out and the green LED goes out, then comes back. The dashboard shows no packet loss or BER issue (but not all hotspots report BER). Other stations don't mention it, so looks lik...

Re: ALPHA TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information

The battery is noticeably cooler running on eco 1, and the battery voltage isn't dropping as fast. Everything seems to be working fine. Will test other levels throughout the day.

Thank you for adding this so soon.

Re: TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information

Only issue I've found so far is the LED already noted for update. Otherwise working great so far. Thanks to all for this wonderful development and your hard work. This totally transforms the radio. With the eco modes on the OpenGD77 and using my TYT MD-UV380 with no eco modes you really notice the d...
