The 1701 isn't seen as a "Com port" with the original fw. - Just as a DFU unit.
Once the OpenGD77 fw is loaded, the 1701 will be seen as a "Com port" in normal mode.
You would want this DFU Driver ...

You don't care about the <ctrl>-t on STM32 platform, as you can't edit the calibration data in the CPS (but directly on the radio instead). I just got two DM-1701 , and have converted them to OpenGD77 - Thank you :D I had the idea that the radio would show up as serial device when connected to a PC. Is it supposed to do that ?? But under Windows it just showed as a STM in DFU mode under the USB section in Hardware Manager - No COM port....
