OpenGD77

Build quality with the position of the display is a problem with these radio, and I think people may need to open their radios and reposition the display if it's fitted really badly

I just picked up a DM-1701 so that I'd have a second radio capable of running OpenGD77, and I'm very pleased. Everything seems to work great! The display is positioned so that the top and sides are hard to see, but that will be easily worked around by some slight UI adjustments. And the button diff...

When setting frequency calibration - green key exit, every time I power up the radio I have to re-set it again

SK2 + Green to permanently save.

I though this was documented in the User Guide

I am using a GD77 with the latest firmware and CPS. Other than copying the channel to VFO and then copy RX -> TX, Is there an easier way to implement what Motorola calls TalkAround mode, or in other words, toggle between repeater mode and simplex mode? You didn't use you callsign or introduce youse...

The only radios that are still being manufactured are the RT-3S (TYT MD-380UV), and Baofeng DM-1701
Build quality on the Baofeng isn't as good, but possibly the RF performance may be better.
