Re: DMR on Baofeng 1801 - Reply to Last Heard / Grp / Pvt?

Is there a simple (I am not good with difficult) way to Reply to the Last Heard call as a private call ? (or grp call)? Tnx Steve NU5D Just go into the Last Heard screen, and select the person you want to make a private call to and press Green Edit. Actually looking at this functionality, prossibly...

Re: ALLCALL with GD77

Interesting, I was just in a discussion claiming that All Call is increasingly popular for DMR Simplex instead of TG99 or TG9. First I'd ever heard of it, but I'm sure it comes from somewhere. Anyone else ever heard of it used for Simplex? I'll just keep on using TG99 as that seems to be the conven...

Re: Roger’s GD-77 Flash Manager

I have a radio that was cloned from another radio that had a password on it and I lost the password. I ended up finding the flash manager software on a different computer and was able to retrieve the password. I do not have a call sign as this is a radio we use for Search and Rescue. I am becoming ...

Re: New Member seeking guidance

Windows 11 does not allow non-commercial drivers to be installed, but Windows 11 installs its on COM port driver for the OpenGD77 The problem however, is that the com port is unnamed, and hence the CPS can't detect which com port the radio is plugged into, (the names of the com ports are all generic...

Good Morning
Are you still in need of people to test the Alpha version of the firmware. I have four MD 9600's of the first run of hardware. I'm available to help if needed.

Thanks
Drew

You need to describe the problem in more detail.

e.g. Did the firmware install OK

Do you see the OpenGD77 Com port

What exact COM port errors you are seeing etc etc

Just saying you get com port errors is not enough information to understand the problem

Re: RD-5R power switch

Another difference between RD-5R and GD-77 is the power switch. In GD-77 the switch is "soft", so before really switching off the GD-77 software has a chance to save the current channel. However, in RD-5R the power switch cuts the power off immediately, so the firmware does not run any more. So on ...
