Re: Anyone using Linux?
Beggers can't be choosers, and I'm happy with what I have, but man I'd love a way to flash contacts from Linux natively.

Re: Anyone using Linux?
Last I heard, qDMR never supported the "new" (2 years old now?) use of extra characters. Maybe it'd work if you limited your callsign database to whatever the default was, I actually don't recall now.

Re: APRS via APRS cable and HT
I've certainly does this on an HT, don't think I've done it on an OpenGD77 radio offhand though. In the past I've done it with a few Baofengs, and to just transmit (not receive) on my Android phone I could simply enable VOX and plug a TRRS cable between phone and HT and I ran APRSDroid. Can't speak ...

Re: [SOLVED] CPS Linux Support
editcp, while very nice for the MD380, does not work for OpenGD77.
dmrconfig, last I understood, no longer works on OpenGD77 after GD77 changed some channel and/or contact information, I forget the specifics now, but as long as you have a copy of the CPS you can always give it a try.

Re: New Beta 2023 11 11
The password is the version, starting with R. It's discussed in https://www.opengd77.com/viewtopic.php?t=3269 Ah, thanks, I had seen that discussion but I guess missed the password addition, it probably should be mentioned in each release post for folks who haven't updated in a while, or are new. I...

Re: APRS 'Voice Alert'
APRS Voice Alert is fairly simple in "ussage", certainly can not speak for the coding part of it. But when I'm in the vehicle I have VA set up on my Kenwood D710G. If someone else has it set up, and they're within simplex range I'll hear their APRS packets. I could then look at their packet and see ...

Sure you don't have a dodgy handmic plugged in, or VOX enabled?

Re: GD-88, the new Radioddity DMR radio
If the Anytone UV890 is real, none of us will be worried about the buggy GD88 anymore.

Re: GD-77 for sale
Are we allowed to buy them, upgrade them to Open and then resell them? Reselling a GD77 with OpenGD77 on it, to me (NOT a developer, no vested interest other than being auser) is a non-issue as long as you're not profiting off of OpenGD77 itself. Example: If they were actually on sale (they aren't,...
