Just wanted to report that the GPS in my new RT-3S does work in the house but my even newer RT-90's GPS does not. I plan to dash mount the RT-90 so hope that will work well enough.
I have mine under dash mounted, takes a little time to get a fix but it works...

Re: "Prompt" to "Silent" disables all audio signalling options

Has this been done yet? I don't "see" it and am wondering if I somehow missed it. I was very sad :( when I disabled the sounds and my power-on song also stopped working  If you set your channels to no beep, nothing will ever beep, no TX timer etc. -but the "power-on song' still works :) :l...

TS setting in channel has no effect?

Hi, recently i came back to a difficulty i had a few months ago with repeater slot settings within my code plugs. For testing i made a simple CP containing only few TG's with set Repeater Slot "Disabled" to make sure there is no override from the TG. Channels are only one for each slot. Loaded this ...

Re: [Suggestion] GPS Distance, Repeater Coords, & Channel Sorting

The GD77 codeplug format does not contain fields for location data, nor does the official codeplug format for any of the other Chinese radios that I am aware of I checked and there are only 4 bytes free in the channel data structure, so a precise position could not be stored, but possibly an approx...

Re: [Suggestion] GPS Distance, Repeater Coords, & Channel Sorting

The requested features look a lot like the Icom D-Star funtionality. So i did a little fideling with the Repeaterbook website's Export function. If i export all the repeaters in my area (Manitoba) in the ID-5100 Repeaterlist format, the resulting CSV contains all the geo-locations and even a marker ...

Re: Frequency offset direction feature?

I don't really understand, what you mean with this, offset a frequency from what? Maybe from a memory channel? That would be the VFO mode. Please reference to the "Quick Menu" for various functions with the VFO. More Info will be found in the manual... 73 de VE4HTO Norbert ON some HT, the 'frequenc...
