Thanks for the reply. I understand that it may not be possible, however I think it would be a useful feature. It's fairly easy to inadvertently knock the radio off of scan without realizing it.
That said, I'm quite satisfied with the ability to lock the radio at all!

This is working great on my newer UV380 (S/N: 2104L00199) that I got about a month ago. This is my first attempt at loading and using the firmware and I am thoroughly impressed! It works and looks great. I like the "inverted" color scheme, and the menu system is just awesome! Thanks to all the devs!...
