Re: Scanning in promiscuous mode
Is there a way to stop scanning at the channel and talkgroup you are presently receiving? Mine can be stopped at the channel but goes to the default talkgroup for that channel :( Also I suppose I could find out how to increase the pause time while scanning in the RTFM ;) but if anyone has experienc...

Re: New Beta 2024 05 11
Hello, my name is Giani, call sign YO2AP. First, congrats for this new version of firmware. I had previously a Retevis RT3S but now I use a Baofeng DM-1701. All works fine, installation was successful and customisation as well. However, how can I find the shortcut with this firmware version to disa...

Re: MD-UV380 stuck on start up
FIXED: reinstalled TYT factory firmware found @ https://archive.ph/ after uploading firmware, radio would boot however the screen was pixelated and unreadable. Reinstalled OpendGD77 , now everything is working. I guess there was some fonts and other graphical objects in the flash memory that was mi...

Re: RT-3S and BlueDV Hotspot Issues
Have 2 RT3S radios with OpenGD77 latest beta on them. One is GPS, one is non-GPS. I've tried this on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Same result. Playing around with BlueDV and using one as a hotspot. I have tested on Brandmeister and TGIF and while it works it only works for a minute or so. It shows as...

Re: MD9600 no RX/TX
I opened my MD-9600 and the board shows MD9600-UV-V2.1-170608 I have installed the latest V2 firmware and have entered in my codeplug what I believe to be the proper settings for my local repeaters. I cant seem to transmit and I do not believe the receive is working 100% either. I have tried to use...

Re: Can't install the OpenGD77 CPS
F1RMB: Bedad, that did it! I'd set up a generic USB port in VirtualBox Manager that was supposed to pass everything connected to USB to the guest OS, but I deleted it and added a new one just for the radio. Thank you! Now I have to figure out how to write codeplugs and how to change the screen to w...

Re: MD-9600 / RT-90 Installation
Hello all! I recently purchased an TYT MD-9600 Plus with GPS, and an TYT MD-UV390 Plus (so called 10W version). One of the key reasons I got these was for their potential to run OpenGD77. I have started to embark on getting the 9600 transitioned. The 390 will come after as I want to focus on one at...

Re: DMR SMS support?
You can take a look on another thread: https://www.opengd77.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4030 Hmm, interesting. Maybe SMS capability's not too far away if they get this to work. I hope so. AFIK. The work in progress is NOT to add SMS support to the normal operation of the firmware; it's only to allow H...

Re: DMR SMS support?
G'day. In the Features Not Supported sticky post it says that SMS isn't supported due to lack of information about how SMS messages are encoded for transmission as DMR data but this post is from October 2020. Is this still the case? If so, what information is needed? Because I may have found a wee ...
