Re: MD-9600 / RT-90 Installation
Dear Colin, sorry for my mistake. I saw the ZIP Filename "210525 MD-9600 V4 firmware for PLL2571" and was not aware of V5 FW inside. It´s phantastic. All works fine now and I have my GD77 and RT3S Codeplug on the RT90 now. Thank you very much. One question. I have never worked on DMR direct frequenc...

Re: MD-9600 / RT-90 Installation
Hello all, I just have got a new RT90 marked with V4A on the board. It works properly with Retevis V5 Firmware RT90-CSV-GPS(2571V5)-P26.41.bin (Download from retevis.net and uploaded to the RT90 - all other old versions do not TXing). I have also downloaded MD9600_firmware_V5HW.bin from this board. ...

Re: Hardware Version V4A GPS
Hello all,
i just have got a new RT90 with V4A marked on the board inside. Where I can get the V5 firmware version? The EA5GK links do not offer that. But some guys apparently have flashed this version with success.
Best regards - Ingo / DF1OG

Re: Larger memory
Hi all,
I have opened my RD-5R and found an 8Mbit flash memory 25Q80DV. Did anyone try to replace this flash with a 25Q64xx or 25Q128xx in order to increase the memory for DMR IDs?
Best regards

Re: [Radio model not supported] New Baofeng 1801 won't enter in upload mode
Hi, on the webpage https://www.hamradioshop.pl/ they are offering the DM-1801. Obviously the new A6 Version with SN: 18DMxxxxxx. They are writing: the A6 Version is protected against updates with opengd. Therefore one should use an special CPS, which they have available for download by a link on the...

Re: Larger memory
Dear Daniel,
I have fitted another GD with a 25Q128fvsg according the methode I described before. No problem at all . It seems to be a difference between the FWs and/or the CPSs.

Re: Larger memory
Hi Daniel, let me tell you my story. For the first step I flashed the GD with firmware from Nov. 2021 with the Nov. CPS. After that I backed up flash and calibration. Then I removed the old 1 MB flash and soldered the 25Q64fvsig into... phew! no pad destroyed. With the old CPS it was no problem to r...

Re: Larger memory
And I have fitted a GD with the same W25Q64 before (and you are right, CPS was from 2021, where the 8/16 MB option was already implemented) and it worked. It seems that something has been changed meanwhile.
