Ah. I expected the Channel Details to affect the Master for everything. I see SK2 + Up/Down adjusts the Master across all channels set to Master, that's where I was going wrong.

The RTC battery can't be charged, its a standard watch battery. According to STM, who make the CPU, the RTC is powered by Vdd when the CPU is running, there is no special configuration required.
