Is the Plus version of the MD-UV390 compatible with OpenGD77? If not, which currently available DMR dual band portable would you recommend? Thank you!

Thank you for the advice. I followed the instructions on YouTube from N9ASE on how to install the OpenGD77 firmware, and have everything working as expected in my GD-77 now. I'll check out the Pi-Star hotspot forum for configuration info.

I have OpenCD77 CPS downloaded to my PC and was able to install firmware 4.3.6 Ok. I have a question about the Open GD77 TG in my Digital Contacts. Is this a TG that is accessible only via a hotspot? I do not yet have a hotspot operational. Also, what is the recommended Raspberry Pi to use with a GD...

I am interested in learning more about the OpenGD77 firmware, and have a question before I get started please. Which of the compatible handsets would be the simplest to convert? I assume it would be the GD77, is that correct?
