Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version

I have been given a version 2.1 hardware radio, and it seems to work OK, so possibly its just some radios which have the hardware problems, e.g. depending on individual component tollerances I thought the problem was that low power settings can't access repeaters, because the PA does not ramp up it...

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version

this is very exciting even though I don't own a MD-9600. My friend owns an old version (forgot if it's 1 or 2) and he confirmed that in the highest 2 power settings the BER was so high he couldn't get it into his local DMR repeater properly (while his other radios could). At first it was thought to ...

Re: Public Beta (2021 12 19)

Hi, If you had flashed a DMRIds list in the past, please update it with the latest CPS as a bug was fixed few weeks ago in this area. Cheers. --- Daniel. Oh, ok. Thanks! I didn't know we need to do this step. I will get it as my DMR ID list is rather old but I don't use this radio often enough to n...

Re: Can I use a GD-77 w/ non-working LCD as a Hotspot radio?

Sounds like a loose connection. You could try resoodering both ends of the ribbon cable Also I heard of someone who bought a DM1801 LCD display and it fitted perfectly in their GD77 But its probably not cost effective to do this, as Radioddity have the GD77 in their Christmas sale, priced at less t...

Re: Public Beta (2021 12 19)

I just have a self reboot using this version after about 10 mins on standby (I transmitted briefly in DMR for test). Battery is 98% now. I have not used earlier public beta vers so I can't compare. I'll report back when I test more. Thanks! Do you mean the radio rebooted immedaitely after you turne...

Re: Can I use a GD-77 w/ non-working LCD as a Hotspot radio?

I did it by disconnecting the cable completely, loosening the fasteners, and then repositioning it with precision. Beware that the cable is very fragile, in one case I had to replace it. 73 Roberto Thanks again. I did that but that didn't help me. I am familiar with these cables when trying to fix ...

Re: Can I use a GD-77 w/ non-working LCD as a Hotspot radio?

Hello, the failure of the disply, if it is all white, could be caused by the flat cable connecting the disply. In my two GD77s it was enough to reposition the cable in the two connectors. Good luck, 73 IW2FHM Roberto Thanks. When you say reposition do you mean moving it sideway a little? I am not s...
