Re: External speaker mic
I currently use a RADIODDITY RS22 that works well but yes there is a slight drop in audio output compared to the GD77 speaker. DMR listen levels flucuate so much in general that I'm often adjusting the HT volume knob anyway so with the mic I just move it further away or closer as needed when in use....

Re: Hi de WE6R, new GD-77 owner, promiscuous mode help.
It's DMR in general, as you only have two timeslots (on Duplex), so there is no point to use a ton of network bandwidth for nothing. Thanks, makes sense. I edited my BM static list and will access the rest dynamic. I wondered why I was seeing so much of that dynamic-activation-PTT activity being do...

Re: Hi de WE6R, new GD-77 owner, promiscuous mode help.
Hi Daniel, Thanks for the tip on leaving CC turned On. I had that Off as I read in the online manual that: "This feature should NOT be used for normal operation, the CC match detection is slow, and can cause the DMR signals to not be received correctly until the CC is found by the algorithm." RE: "S...

Re: Hi de WE6R, new GD-77 owner, promiscuous mode help.
As a follow up, the monitor/promiscuous mode has been working very well since setting up my static TGs. My Filters (DMR, CC, TS) are all Off. However, this morning I was hearing a lot of QSOs on one of those TGs but I wanted to engage in a QSO on a different TG, that being another static that is in ...

Re: Hi de WE6R, new GD-77 owner, promiscuous mode help.
Thank you Daniel. I added a few TG to my Static list, now working.
Side-note: I also tried an All Channels scan (digital and analog) and that works properly now also. Very nice...kudos to the devs!

Re: Hi de WE6R, new GD-77 owner, promiscuous mode help.
I'm having this same problem. Pretty sure it was working shortly after I installed the OpenGD77 firmware, but no longer acting "promiscuous". I've tested by choosing one of my zones on the GD77 that contains TG93 and TG91, then checking what traffic I hear on hoseline vs the radio. I have all 3 filt...

Hi all,
Looking at the GD-77, not purchased one yet. Fairly new to Ham and to DMR. I do have a working TYT MD390UV, but disappointed that there aren't custom firmware options for it (as there are with the single banders).
