Re: Cannot hear analog channels due to squelch

CTCSS/DCS Filter on?
The pre-installed OpenGD77 version is certainly older - I would update, regardless of the problem.

Re: RT3S GPS, searching S019.013

I have 19.26 for GPS and CPS 1.2 here: https://www.sa0bux.se/Ham/RT3S/ Many thanks for the hint and the deployment! I was able to update, almost without any problems (afterwards, the RT3S only wanted to transmit on 150/450 MHz, but this could be changed again, by switching on + sidekey 1&2) and thu...

RT3S GPS, searching S019.013

As recommended, in case I need to reinstall the official firmware, I would like to back up the original firmware, before installing OpenGD77 - but I can't find it anywhere. It is an "old" (5W version) RT3S GPS, with according to the info screen, S019.013 and V02.24. Neither firmware nor CPS, I could...

Re: Scanning analog

… I also wonder why people set a Rx CTCSS on their radios, unless you have a lot of local QRM. Juts becuase the repeater transmits CTCSS doesnt mean you have to set your radio to have Rx CTCSS … One reason to enable RX CTCSS may be, when the repeater is operating C4FM and FM on the same frequency. ...

Re: point to point digital radio

Sorry for the inconvenience. I did the programming and even changing the frequency within the band limits on two radios, the message comes when transmitting: "ERROR OUT OF BAND" can you help me, something is wrong. Regards Try Options, Radio Options, Band Limits and set it to CPS or OFF 73, DO3HB

Re: ALPHA TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information

Be careful, maybe MD-390 and MD-UV390 are not identical. For example, the MD-390 has a Double Conversion Superheterodyne receiver whereas the UV390 has the Direct Conversion receiver.

Does anyone know what hardware the GD-88 is based on?

What CPU(s) / DMR / VFO / etc. and if it single or dual rx / tx hardware?
