unstable hardware programming ?
HI! Roger, I have been pondering this minor annoyance for a few months, and I want to mention it here so you can keep it in mind when looking though the code. On my RT3S I have the following hard to reproduce bugs: 1) when, let's say I'm on TS1, and receiving heavy BER from a DMR repeater, the radio...

Re: IMPORTANT. New MD-UV380 or RT3S are not compatible
I just received a UV380 from here :
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264446265553
it's the GPS version, and works perfect;y with OpendGD77.
S/N: 2205L01293
It might be old stock since it came from NY.

Re: DM-1801 transistor part number ?
I can confirm that AFT05MS004NT1 works fine in the DM-1801 as a VHF final.
It was quite difficult to replace, but finally the radio works well with 5W output on both VHF and UHF.
Thanks!

Yes, I found that Baofeng uses these in many radios.
I ordered the part you suggested.
Thanks Colin.

DM-1801 transistor part number ?
HI!
This DM-1801 has a blown VHF final ( I am assuming it's the VHF final , since VHF stopped working , but UHF is fine)
Does anybody have an idea of what the part number might be ?
(transistor with the hole in it ) Thanks.

Re: Automatic Software update board post ?
ok, I did find something that might work. Topic bookmark. ( or thread bookmark) If you create a new thread with some general title like "UV380 NEW firmware notification only" or similar for each kind of radio, then instruct people not to post comments there. All interested users can then bookmark th...

Automatic Software update board post ?
HI!
would it be possible to have an automatic post every time there is a new firmware version ?
Or a least a quick note to go look ?
I found myself on a couple of versions behind because there is no notice of a new firmware version for the uv380 or md-9600.
Thanks.

Re: TYT MD-9600, add GPS later?
hi! So I ordered a GPS Module Ebyte E108-GN02D for about US$6. It has a built-in antenna, and a backup battery all in a 2cm square package. I installed it in the front of my MD-9600 that had no GPS. I used double-sided installation tape to stick it to the plastic case on the left side of the radio T...

Re: MD-9600 and bug in GPS location copy ?
HI! Sorry for the delay , I was out of town. I checked , and with the Nov 26th version on HW v5 it does not copy the GPS coordinates by itself . I have to push "D" for 2s then "B". The location is then copied, but with the error I described above ( 2 decimal position shift ) However after updating t...

MD-9600 and bug in GPS location copy ?
HI! I noticed that once I have a GPS lock on my MD9600 the GPS coordinates copied from the GPS screen to the location screen in the "radio info" have a 2 decimal shift error as follows: 39.7000N 104.0500W get copied as 39.0070N 104.0005W this is on nov 26 2022 firmware. Is this just a display bug is...
