Re: Battery eliminator

I am not sure, if this thingverse is perfect. On some pictures the top 'flap' is missing and the side rail / border is not straight as shown on their pics. It needs raised for 2cm on the bottom. https://oe1mww.work/GD77-Battery.jpg But there is a source in the Czech Republic: https://www.eshop-yacht...

Re: Battery eliminator

Hi Walter, KT4LH, You are right, a MD-380 battery does not hold = work on a GD77! But some user reported they are using the MD-380 battery eliminator on a GD77 It perfectly slides in, just the bottom plate with the two slots is missing. Not perfect. So they use a cable tie around the GD77 at the bot...

Re: GD-77 usage problem.

Unfortunately, your answers are in English language, but the content and context cannot be understood. An SDR has nothing to do with OpenGD77 and your desire to hear DMR signals. Please read the user manual - it describes all functions and options, how to program the GD77 with the CPS software and f...

Re: GD-77 usage problem.

In you video you are doing a VFO scan, so all kind of signals may appear in that frequency range, the GD77 will lock on those signals and because they may be anything else, but not a DMR transmission, no audio will be heard. Are you sure, it locked on a DMR signal? And if you try to chase & listen t...

Mark, K4ED, the answer to your last question is: YES

But even in the beta, I could not find any or 'more bugs', nor I am being afraid the GD77 may go up in smoke.
Ham Radio is experimental, enjoy the last beta!

Re: attenuation of input disturbances

Your wish and your idea may sound reasonable - from a point of view of a user. But those interference happens at the 'front end' (input stage) of the device, the firmware has only control of frequency selection and demodulation of a signal. A 70 $ mass production device, like the GD-77, lacks of all...

Re: CPS Export / Import channels

Most European non-english Windows using the '.' for the thousand, ',' for the decimal separator and ';' is the column separator. Exported .csv of 'OpenGD77CPS.exe' using the 'international' or 'english' settings for separators, but EXCEL relies on the national Windows 'separators' settings and can n...

Re: CPS Export / Import channels

Right now I do an export >CodePlug to CSV< with the GB3GF utility http://www.gb3gf.co.uk/downloads.html All csv into a new and empty directory. Important: keep the GB3GF Utility open in the background! Two small batch files plus the "Find and Replace Text" utility copied into the directory of the cs...
