[Hardware fault] Wrong power and battery level!

Post by PU4RON » Thu May 28, 2020 7:19 pm

Hello! The battery level on the display is not being marked correctly. Battery full and 80 to 88% appears on the display.

Another fact is that the high power (HIGH) in UHF, I can only 3W, even trying to calibrate, in (LOW) in UHF it works normal. The problem is being in high power in UHF that I can't reach 5W.

In VHF the powers (LOW) and (HIGH) work normally after I calibrated.

I used versions D20200507 and R20200503 and both have the same problem. What can be happening?

Relative to battery level, I think that this has already been discussed on this forum, and it may relate to the charging strategy used by the inexpensive TYT charger.

I have two chargers and have already done tests on both and even so it presents this problem in the battery level and insufficient power to reach 5W in UHF.

I used the older version 2.6.6 of the original firmware, to later use the current one, with the 2.6.6 firmware the battery level works normally, minus the high power in UHF.

Measure the actual battery voltage using a multimeter

The problem is that your battery is defective, and the chargers will not be able to charge it to enough voltage.
