[Fixed] VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
[Fixed] VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
Pressing either the blue or black side keys causes frequency scanning in VFO mode to stop. This does not happen when scanning in channel mode.
It was also not a problem prior to the April 11th release of OpenGD77.
Thank you.

Re: VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
This is an inconsistency on the Channel mode.
Pressing any key or button during scanning, except the keys which control the scanning, should stop the scan.

Re: VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
Well, I'm not sure about anyone else. but I tend to use the blue or black side keys to turn on the back light so I can see the display. As it is now, in VFO mode the only key I can press to turn the back light on that won't affect the scanning is the up arrow key. And if you have the back light mode set to manual, you have to press the black key to enable the back light which has the undesired result of stopping the scanning.
Re: VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
Hi,
Normally, SK1 and SK2 shouldn't stops the scanning (as it does in the Channel mode). But I got lost at some point
I will look at this if Roger didn't already.
Cheers.

Re: VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
Hi Daniel
I'm not looking at it.
I did test in Channel mode, and pressing the buttons just changes the display. Its not useful to view the channel freq during scan, but I guess it doesn't do any harm.

Re: VFO scanning stops when you press either side key.
Hi Roger,
Also, as SK1 could be used as backlight switch, the current behaviour in Channel mode is the way to go, IMHO.
I will fix the VFO scan and SK keys later today.
Cheers.

In fact, since SK1 and SK2 are (almost) modifiers, it's better to not let them stopping the scan.

Thank you for taking care of this issue so quickly. VFO scanning is working nicely now!
