[Sunday test] GD-77S test firmware

Post by F1RMB » Sun Apr 12, 2020 2:38 pm

Hi,

Here is a test version for the GD-77S. It uses the speech synthesis chip.

You have access to few settings, using long press on the Orange button which cycles to, (SET ON)<Power>(POWER LEVEL), <Zone>(STORE), <Leave the Settings>(SET OFF):
  • Power: change output power using SK1 / SK2 buttons
  • Zone: change the zone with SK1 / SK2 buttons, zone is spelled "STORE", as there is no "ZONE" word.
Short press on Orange announces (BATTERY percentage), without percent word.
Short press on SK1 announces current channel settings (FREQUENCY (+ RECEIVE and TRANSMIT for duplex) frequency , + TG/PC (as ID CODE) number), no TG or PC word are available.
Short press on SK2 while receiving sets the TG/PC etc, as it works on the GD-77/MD-1801, it announces (CHANNEL SET). To reset the overriden values, just switch to another channel.

Changing the hotspot mode can be done using the following shortcuts, when switching the transceiver ON with:
  • SK1: MMDVM
  • SK1 + PTT: BlueDV.
Rotating the channel switch announce (CHANNEL number).

PLEASE NOTE: in the channel configuration, in the CPS, set TG List to None for every channel you add to a zone.

Cheers.

Thanks. It's a temporary solution, as it's planned to use something else with the AMBE codec in the futur.
Meanwhile, it makes the 77S a little more usable, who can reminds what they put in a screenless transceiver :D

Cheers.
