Thanks. The installer tool should make things straightforward to new users.

We've had standalone versions for the GD-77 and DM-1801 for some time, but it but didn't think to publicize them

Recently Daniel combined them, and I think with a bit of work it will be able to auto detect the radio

We may be able to get it to download the latest version for the specific radio as well, but that will be a bit more complex to achieve

I don't know if this is new in this version or a somewhat earlier revision - I'm happy to bisect if it's needed - but I noticed that beeps sound strange on key longpress. Here's a recording: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/jorg ... 0Press.m4a

Thanks a lot Roger!
It's safe to continue upgrading GD77 firmware with your Python script? (I'm a linux user)
The Pyhton script works for GD-77 and DM-1801:
https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... wareLoader

There an ongoing PR which will move it to a new location "tools/Python/FirmwareLoader"

Cheers.

EDIT: the Python script has moved to https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... wareLoader

Only in DMR mode when it receives a DMR signal does the PTT not work. I think it is a BUG because I don't see options to disable the function, and then in analog it does not

we need more details, as in Simplex or with a repeater ?

Cheers.

But what's happening when you press PTT, any message ?
Also, does it fail in both VFO and Channel mode ?

Cheers.

yes also in VFO, only in simplex, when I press the PTT only the display light comes on, but it does not go to TX, when they stop talking I can transmit, it is as if the Busy PTT Lock were active

Sorry, but I'm lost here.
Are you trying to XMit while receiving, in DMR ? If it's the case, you can't do that, it's not like in analog modes.

Cheers.
