Well,

external mike and speaker plus USB simultaneously is possible. I use it for months without problems.

Since there are so many different pinouts you will find in the net, here is my version

3,5mm
Shield = PTT
Ring = Mike
Tip = USB Data (white)

2,5mm
Shield = GND (Mike, Speaker, PTT, USB)
Ring = USB Data (green)
Tip = Speaker

Shielded cables for mike and USB is a must!

An interesting solution would be like Yaesu C4FM Direct Portable Digital Node.
in this mode, you can communicate in digital mode via the Internet.
The communications are made directly by using the USB connected radio to the computer.
The microphone signal is sent only to the PC and the Internet.
The Internet signals are heard in the Portable Digital Node Station transceiver speaker.

This has been requested before, but because people would need to make a special cable, I think the number of potential users would not justify the amount of time to implement this feature.

As far as far as I know, none of the members of the forum has made a cable with an external speaker mic and also USB cable.

Normal speaker mic cables can’t be modified to do this, because they do not have connections to all parts of the pins.
A custom splitter adaptor would need to be built, which goes between the speaker mic and the radio.

People could also disassemble their GD-77 and connect internally to the USB, but I think no one would do that either

I bought some cheap stereo 3,5mm plus 2,5mm plugs and sockets to connect the lot. Plus a USB-Micro socket. This is a far better idea instead of slaugtering an original cable with lacks all connections anyway. This tool keeps me from unplugging anything for updating firmware or cps. Debugging or remote over USB would be handy but I see imited use inside the community...

The other way to make the cable is to buy some 2.5mm and 3.5mm audio splitter cables, and cut them and connect a USB cable

I bought myself a 2.5mm splitter and a 3.5mm splitter so that I could connect both USB and audio at the same time. Works great as far as I can tell. Instead of modifying anything I ordered a good speaker mic to use with it. But if I turns out I need to modify something I will.
