Updated to provide 3 more power levels of 50, 75, and 100 mW. As well as other minor changes.
Your mileage may vary with the 2 lowest settings. Some radios may output on the dot, or basically nothing.

50mW two yagi antennas were sufficient for communications at a distance of 20 km (446MHz). Very useful options for me :)

Very awesome. I was able to do 27km with 50mW on VHF to my repeater which isn't line of sight. QRP is fun!

I will look into it. I changed it so left arrow selection would be "Single" and right would be "Double". Something could have happened. Thanks for the post. If I see it doesn't work, I will post a fix. Thanks!

Update: You are right, it does not work. I will fix it today. Thanks for the heads up!

I reverted the code for now. This update will work. This update also includes the new power settings. Results may vary for those power levels.

I went ahead and updated to the latest source which includes some new contacts selection stuff, and fixed the issue with the Digital "Monitor" between Single and Double slot listening. I also added another setting for 10mW power levels. How much does it actually put out? Hard to say! But it's pretty small! I'm 17 miles from my repeater and at 50mW I have an RSSI of -90 signal, at the 10mw, I go to -110. So do the math if you wish. But pretty fun QRP either way!

I installed the build and all seems well. I do notice the 50 mW appears lower than the "standard" version. I noted S9+24 dB on my hot spot and now it shows S9+11 dB with this version. The 10 mW setting does not reach the hotspot which is 10 meters away.

I also typically use the MIC Gain of +12dB but guess that option is not in this version.

Yes, the settings below 1 watt are minimally adjusted compared to the official. It seemed to be more accurate between my radios. But it varies so widely between radios. Have you calibrated your 1 and 5 watt levels out of curiosity? I will probably revert it to the original version, but keep a secondary build with my custom offsets, which appear to be more accurate according to my meter. Do you have a meter you could check your levels with?

As for the mic gain, there is an option for it. Menu > Options > DMR Mic > 12dB
Maybe you missed it?

Oh and hotspots are deaf. I wouldn't expect someone to be able to be heard at these lower powers on the hotspot. As I mentioned, I can hit my repeater 17 miles away, not line of sight, and with the 10mw setting, with a good RSSI of -110. But the hotspot can't hear it at all. If you test on another radio, or to a repeater using a base antenna, you'll see it really is a tiny fraction of power but does get out.

Updated to fix the power level 1 to 5 watts. If anyone has a watt meter, I'd like to hear the results! :)
