[Solution provided] sort of a bug -ish

Post by gw0tqm » Mon Jan 20, 2020 2:01 pm

I find the BEEP (especially on start up) deafeningly loud. I can turn it down to -21dB which is fine - but every time I change the battery it defaults back to mind-bogglingly loud. Could we possibly have a start up setting somewhat between max and min?

PS the screen brightness goes back to 100% and the timeout goes to OFF as well. This is definitely undesirable.

I just click the button over to on, then turn it up after a second, personally. You can always also set the power on sound in the CPS to 0,0 and it will have none.

Not sure about the battery bit, I thought the settings persisted in the codeplug, not just in 'ram', so swapping the battery would not matter. Changing firmware would potentially reset them, as they have to do that whenever the options change which right now is often.

EDIT: As I guessed, I could not reproduce any settings getting lost in the radio with a battery pull. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
