Light gates in Display options

Post by SQ7PTE » Thu Jan 16, 2020 7:48 pm

I noticed that in the "Display options" Mode: Manual you can not change, turn on the screen lighting. Do I not understand this option or is it not active?
Mode: Manual and Mode: None - they are not different.

In manual mode, the black button act as a switch for the backlight control: one press: on, another one: off

Bear in mind black button assignment is temporary.

Cheers.

I can't imagine using any other button! What would be another easy possibility?

It collides with the feature that displays extra infos on SK1, in both VFO and Channel mode.

Cheers.

It does, sort of, but not really. I think using long press for the info would be a better implementation, and short press for the display light. Or vise versa.
