Tier2 vs Tier1 firmware
Tier2 vs Tier1 firmware
We have 3 GD77 walkys here in my area. One of them is older and the other two are just bought.
The oldest seems to work quite well with all firmware, it has once had some problems, but minor.
The two newest have a serious problem with the current Tier2 version, neither of them are able to receive without some kind of cut in the audio.
When we put the Tier1 version they work perfectly again, as well as with the original Radioddity firmware.
I don't know if this problem only happens with these units or there is someone else who has them similar.
We have tried several types of Hotspots with similar results.
We have deleted the settings and started again without any result.
Problems happen in both VFO mode and MEMORY mode.
Any more ideas to try?

Re: Tier2 vs Tier1 firmware
I have a newer radio myself, and see the same problems with audio with the Tier II firmware which makes me go back to the Tier I firmware (I keep trying the new versions of the Tier II firmware). I had suspected it was something slightly different hardware wise with the newer radios.
Re: Tier2 vs Tier1 firmware
The problem are only in DMR, analog works ok....

Re: Tier2 vs Tier1 firmware
Hi,
It would be better to use the latest released version, then report to the right thread the problem(s) you're experiencing, with details.
Thanks.
