[Resolved] Trouble changing boot tune with CPS 7/1/2020

Post by KB8AOB » Sat Aug 01, 2020 1:21 am

Have done it before but seems if I now try to replace my current boot tune with 0,0 it will not write to the radio. It just reverts back to the old sequence. Version of Open CPS is 7/1/2020 (from header nothing in "About" regarding version) Is there a trick? Not a real issue for me and everything else seems to be working. Using latest unstable version of FW (but just now noted as stable) :(

insert the new melody and press play as if you wanted to listen to it ... wait a few seconds and then write it on the radio
ciao

These two extra items are only sent to the radio when you write the codeplug:
  • Selecting an image will update the "Boot item" General Screen to use picture instead of text.
    • (You need to Change it manually back to Text to remove the image.)
  • The Tune.
It took me longer than it should have to work out the Tune was (frequency, duration) pairs :(

Well, you can try putting silence (tone 0) and length of few seconds, as you like. Didn't try it, as I don't mind sound, just thinking creatively. ;)

BTW, Roger and friends gave us something great for free. Please try not to sound entitled and/or ungrateful.

Cheers!
