Stop transmitting occasionally...
Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...
Black wire may not be GND.
In fact I'm pretty sure its one of the data wires in my USB cable.

Hi Roger,
Thanks to my slight colorblindness problem, I trust my continuity tester instead
Cheers.

Yeah, the joke of the wires color (mostly never respected).

Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...
Hello Roger! Hello Daniel !
I use the hotspot mode with the original Radioddity programming cable (silver colored logo "Radioddity").
The hotspot works with an external antenna UFB !
If I use the original antenna, the transmitter stops after a few seconds !! HF-POWER 50mW !!!
HF radiation - how can I fix the problem?
Firmware: August 18 2020

See the various posts on the forum about this problem
Use RF protection on the USB cable, e.g. chokes and possibly also a shielded USB cable
Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...
Hello roger!
Thank you for your prompt reply !
A shielded cable with a ferrite choke brings no improvement.
Maybe you can test it yourself.

Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...
The problems are almost always caused by RF injection into the USB or the host computer system.
Many people have the hotspot working 100% of the time. I don't need to retest it.
Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...
Hi,
Once you have the transmission problem, grab your MMDVMHost log file, zip it, and post it here.
Cheers.
