What is the recommended BlueDV configuration?

Should I use DTE on the Serial connection?

I have tried this on Brandmeister, but the Parrot response to BlueDV doesn't key the GD77 in Hotspot mode. It does appear to receive correctly.

Thanks, Marc

I saw on rodger's bluedv open gd77 guide that said you can use bluedv to crossmode into fusion or dstar if you configure it. Has anyone done this? Can i flick on the ysf or dstar switch and transmit into the gd77 with dmr and go out over datar? Or will it pick up dstar and send that right out?

If so, how do i do this?

You need to look on the bluedv website. I know some of the features in some of his products require transcoding on a server, and you have to register with BlueDV to get an account to use the server infrastructure. I presume eventually this will be a paid service, as he can't keep running it indefinietly for free, as he claims to use multiple AMBE3000 dongles connected to the server, and the dongles are hundreds of dollars each, let alone the cost of running a dedicated server.

That's pretty interesting thanks. The HAMPI distro (https://github.com/dslotter/HamPi)
has blueDV included for the RaspberryPi.

I will check when my Pi4 arrives. but could be the version on Linux is behind the windows one in features. I can't quite tell from the bluedv website.

For bridging between DMR and Fusion/D*Star, use DVswitch, MMDVMHost and AnalogBridge on a $5/month server. I don't use dongles, since you can install md380-emu (I'm in doubt as to the licensing implications).
