GitHub Discussions
GitHub Discussions
GitHub announced today that they're adding a Discussions feature for projects. This could replace this phpBB forum if desired. Would have some drawbacks like needing to be logged in to GitHub (instead of here) and not necessarily having your callsign as your User ID. But would also have some advantages like not needing to pay for a hosting service and being limited on storage.
Re: GitHub Discussions
As far as I can see from the image that was posted on the Github blog
It doesn't look like you can define any sort of hierarchy.
It just looks like its a rework of the "Issues' section, but where these are discussions about anything, not necessarily an issue.
So unfortunately I don't think it would replaced a structured forum
Personally I hope this is disabled by default, as I do not want discussions popping up on my 66 repositories.
