Is SFR (Single Frequency Repeater) a feature that (can) will be added to the Baofeng DM-5R / Radioddity RD-5R?
LOL.
No one has started to investigate this on any of the supported platforms

From my modest point of view I think it would be a very interesting feature for the OpenGD77 users ... in the future...

SFR is at least two steps further down the road.
It relies on Dual capacity direct mode for its operation so that would have to be implemented first. That in itself is not a simple task.

Yes. The official firmware may support DCDM, as does the official GD-77 and official DM-1801 firmware.
The OpenGD77 etc does not support DCDM.
And the official firmware does not support SFR
The Open firmware does not support SFR either

Hello, unfortunately the firmware does not work with my MMDVM hotspot. Which correction value should I set for my MMDVM hotspot and especially where for MMDVM hotspot. I currently have RX-475 to have a good BER. Furthermore - is it possible to reset the RD5R to the factory settings if I am not successful? 73 Stefan, DO2STA

I think the calibration of the master Reference Oscillator needs to be changed in the firmware.
I'm waiting for VK4JTW to check the calibration of his DM-5R frequency, on a an accurate frequency counter he has at his work

Unfortunately, my RD-5R working as a hotspot after 60-90 seconds returns to normal radio operation.

That often is caused by induced RF interference on the USB cable between the Raspberry Pi and your radio.
To avoid this, you need to use a remote antenna, not the whip antenna that mounts on the radio.
You can mitigate it to some extent with ferrite filters installed on the cable, but it still will occasionally fail.
