Can someone please point me to where I can get latest CPS and Firmware for DM-1801? The DM-1801 I got came with no software.

I have both a GD-77 and a DM-1801 and it would be nice to run OpenGD77 on both.

I think this ends my attempt to port to the DMR-1801, because I can’t can’t justify spending another $100+ on a radio I will probably never use.
I would guess the bigger justification is whether there is enough demand among 1801 users for custom firmware, compared to the already big/growing community we have for the GD-77.

Also, since the GD-77 is priced approximately the same as the 1801, there might be no compelling reason to choose it over the GD-77.

Perhaps one justification is as proof-of-concept, e.g., if development can be forked to other radios with similar/related hardware, then other developers can also come in to continue the work toward forking for other radios.

there's reason - for example in our local market we can't buy GD-77 , but 1801 is no problem

See my latest post.

The OpenGD77 firmware is now ready for the DM-1801

Its not perfect, as there are some minor hardware problems with the DM-1801 mainly relating to the audio amp chip, which is different.

But its good enough as a first attempt ;-)

Now that it is working, i should get a DM-1801 from China, thank you. (In Turkey, greedy people sell these DMR radios 3 times more than the normal price, A DMR radio is sold as much as half of the minimum wage here).

The hardware in the GD-77 is better than the DM-1801, but I know that the GD-77 is not available everywhere and the DM-1801 is cheaper.

I always have to buy direct from China, often on AliExpress as Australia only has a small population, and no local suppliers for anything

I repeat. To get started. I have seen this referenced in Forum, but not linked.

Can someone please point me to where I can get latest CPS and Firmware for DM-1801? The DM-1801 I got came with no software.

Thanks, Dave
