Somehow I remember the good ol' Nokia 3210 days when I loaded startup screens and picture messages to friends' phones for 1 dollar apiece.
I forgot which models started supporting bitmap pictures? Was it the 5110?

yes, there was a special program to upload the start up screen, I made lots back in the day.
5110 was the 1st .

What are the requirements for the boot screen?
Also let’s say you no longer want the image on your radio how to clear it?

Image format is 1bit png.
Image size is 128x64 pixels.
You can clear it by selecting Boot Item in the OpenGD77 CPS. Then change the Intro Screen from "Picture" to "Char String".
