Which is better for OpenGD77 GD-77 or RT84?

Hi
Honest question I have a GD-77 already running openGD77 which I really like and I also have a Retevis RT84 running it's stock firmware at present. Are the 2 radio's very different from each other or does one have the edge over the other in terms of memory or functionality when it comes to running openGD77? Just trying to plan ahead before I get too invested later on trying to find things like a second battery etc.

I disassembled my Retevis RT84 and my surprise is that the printed circuit board was written 1701, so the Retevis RT 84 and the Baofeng DM 1701 are the same radio.

Hmm :) Yes true but I still think it a valid question depending on how far the developers are going to make use of the RT84's larger color screen as one example. I totally admit I know nothing about what goes on inside these magic black boxes of software :o

The program memory of the MK22 processor in the GD77 and similar radios is very close to being full. So the potential for further enhancements is very limited. The STM32 processor based radios like the MDUV380 and RT84 still have some spare capacity available.
