I'm having difficulty getting scan start working with quickkeys.
I've experimented with setting and releasing quickkeys - like battery power. The beeps are useful for knowing if the key was deleted and when adding.
But I can't get it to work for scan start in VFO or Channel modes.
I think I might be doing something wrong or doing it in the wrong place.
What's the correct sequence ?
(I'm using a DM1801)
quickeys question
Re: quickeys question
QuickKeys can only be assigned to Menu functions or screens.
They can't be assigned to the QuickMenu or to other general functions on the VFO or Channel screen.
This is for various reasons, including that the same sequence of SK2 + NUMBER is used to both assign and run the QuickKey.
But also, in terms of starting a scan from a QuickKey, I can't see a way you could develop a way to assign SK2 + NUMBER to be equivalent to Pressing and holding the Up Arrow
And.
Surely, pressing and holding the Up Arrow is easier than having to press SK2 + a number

Re: quickeys question
I was just trying to replicate the quickkey that existed before the new system was added.
But of course you're quite right.
