Key repeat is the time period between automatic repeat of the same key if you hold it down

Long key is for new features where holding the button for a long time has a different effect, but this not used yet

these functions can be used to use the radio with just one hand .. I believe you are doing that, eg ... press Fun and after es .. * or Fun + Menu etc ....

I did not consider use in a car.

Some functions require the Blue (function) button to be pressed at the same time as some other key

But these are usually more complex functions that are not need all the time

e.g. Change from DMR to FM mode is Function + Star

Zone change from Channel screen, Function + Up and Function + Down. Zone can also be changed from the Zone menu

Power change is Function + Right, and Function + Left

Autorepeat shows useful to save keystrokes, eg:

Menu, Contacts List, LH, TGs, Squelch...
