Does anyone have the original GD-77/RD-5R boot tune?

Thanks.

73, Thorsten
The original boot tone is polyphonic. The OpenGD77 is not polyphonic.

Polyphonic or not...

Checked the notes myself.

The notes are c4, g4, e4, c5 which should result in the tune 16,8,23,8,20,8,28,8,0,0.
But the values have to be pitched up by a half tone to get the original tune:

17,8,24,8,21,8,29,8,0,0

is nearly the same boot tune as the original...

Hello

I have tried to do it myself but it doesn't work out.
If someone translate my callsign EC2UT into morse tones (convert to numbers) for the startup sound, I would be VERY grateful.

Thanks

38,6 = dash
0,2 = internal pause
38,2 = dot
0,6 = interchar pause
0,7 = interword pause (unused)

So:EC2UT (added spaces for clarity. not needed)
38,2,0,6,
38,6,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,6,0,2, 38,2,0,6
38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,6,0,2, 38,6,0,2, 38,6,0,6,
38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,6,0,6,
38,6,0,6

Thanks for the cheat sheet on the code. I made mine but would like it prof read. My bad eyes hurt when trying to read all these numbers. Think I got my call done correctly.

38,6,38,2,38,6,0,6, 38,2,38,2,0,6, 38,2,38,2,38,2,38,2,38,6,0,6, 38,6,38,6,38,2,0,6, 38,2,38,2,38,2,0,6,38,6
Almost, you forgot the internal pauses. SO:
38,6,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,6,0,6,
38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,6,
38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,6,0,6,
38,6,0,2, 38,6,0,2, 38,2,0,6,
38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,2, 38,2,0,6,
38,6,0,6

So to recap in a possibly more useful way:
Dah = 38,6,0,2,
Dit = 38,2,0,2,
and change the terminating "2" to a 6 between letters. (No comma on the end. Remove the spaces and carriage returns once you've got it all worked out)

As an aside: Note that 38 is an A#=932.3Hz (in the octave above middle C).
You can choose a different note:
- The FCC lists the tone used in Morse tests at anywhere n the 600-800Hz range
- That would be a number between 31 and 35 in this radio.
- But this tone is highly variable around the world.

4 = C = 130.8 (C3)
5 = C# = 138.5
6 = D = 146.8

8 = E = 164.8
9 = F = 174.6
10 = F# = 185
11 = G = 196
12 = G# = 207.6
13 = A = 220
14 = A# = 223
15 = B = 247
16 = C = 261 (C4 = middle c)
17 = C# = 277
18 = D = 294
19 = D# = 311
20 = E = 329.6
21 = F = 349
22 = F# = 370
23 = G = 392
24 = G# = 415.3
25 = A = 440 (Tuning Ref tone)
26 = A# = 466
27 = B = 494
28 = C = 587.3 (C5)
29 = C# = 554.3
30 = D = 587.3
31 = D# = 622.3
32 = E = 659.3
33 = F = 698.5
34 = F# = 740
